The Olive Tree of Saint Spyridon: A Living Symbol in Corfu

In the southern part of Corfu, near the traditional village of Argyrades, stands one of the island’s most remarkable natural treasures the Olive Tree of Saint Spyridon (Ελιά τ’ Αγίου Σπυρίδωνα ).

Declared a preserved Monument of Nature, this ancient tree is a powerful symbol of history, culture, and life. With a trunk circumference of 21.66 meters, it is considered one of the largest olive trees in Greece and holds significant botanical, ecological, and cultural value.
